The advance of the Kings was a spectacle to observe. Their legions stretched as {faras|the eye could see, their banners streaming in the air. The earth trembled under the weight of their numbers, and the atmosphere hummed with the noise of a thousand voices. Certain of the Sovereigns rode inside elephants, their faces grave. More marched {a
